Wacky Wednesday: Reasons Your Subordinate Should Be Your Boss

Let’s flip the org chart upside down—because frankly, the traditional top-down leadership model is totally ineffective in many respects. 👎🏻

Want to unlock real performance?

Start treating the people who “report” to you like they’re actually in charge. (Spoiler: In many ways, they are.)

Welcome to the world of Leadership by Serving Around—where the most audacious question a leader can ask isn’t “What’s the deadline?” but “How can I help?” 🤝✨

Your team isn’t there to serve you—you’re there to serve them.

Clear roadblocks. Remove bureaucracy.

Get rid of the junk that slows them down.

Your job isn’t to command; it’s to empower.

Your “subordinates”—terrible, condescending word—are the ones in the trenches.

They see the bottlenecks, feel the friction, and know exactly what’s working and what’s… well, a total mess. 🧱🔥

When you start taking direction from them, magic happens.

Trust skyrockets. Engagement soars.

And suddenly, that elusive “competitive advantage” isn’t so elusive anymore—it’s built by people who feel valued, heard, and unleashed. 📈🎯

Think about it: Who knows more about the customer—the VP in the corner office or the service rep talking to them daily?

Who understands the production flaw—the manager or the engineer fixing it? Exactly.

So ditch the ego. Open your ears. Ask, “What do you need from me?”

Then actually do it.

Be the leader who rolls up their sleeves—not the one who points fingers.

Results follow culture.

When your team knows you’ve got their back, they’ll move mountains for you.

Not because they have to—because they want to. ❤️🏔️

This isn’t soft leadership—it’s smart leadership.

It’s how you turn hierarchy into harmony and effort into excellence.

Happy Wacky Wednesday. Go be the boss your team deserves. 😎🙌
