đ¤ COLLIDE. DONâT. COMPLY.

COLLIDE. DONâT. COMPLY.
The best way to use AI in business isnât to get better answers; itâs to challenge your thinking and create ideas you wouldnât have reached on your own.
đ Audacious Move⢠of the Week
Stop Asking AI đ¤ for Answers. Use It to Collide With Your Thinking.
Bold Decisions Create Extraordinary Businesses.
I hope it helps you create yours.
đ¤ Most Businesses Are Using AI the Same Way
Ask AI a question.
Get an answer.
Write something. Summarize something. Automate something. Do it faster.
Useful? Absolutely.
But everyone else can do exactly the same thing.
If we all use AI the same way, we create more sameness.
How does that help you BE DiFFERENT?
đĽ Donât Use AI as an Answer Machine
I donât want AI doing my thinking.
I want it colliding with my thinking.
I bring experience, ideas, instincts and context.
AI brings questions, challenges, connections and patterns I may have missed.
I push back. AI pushes back. I reject. We revise.
And through that collision, we discover.
đ AI Is My Collision Vehicleâ˘
I donât think of AI primarily as an Answer Machine.
I think of it as my Collision Vehicleâ˘.
The process:
THINK â COLLIDE â DISCOVER â CREATE â BE THE ONLY ONEâ˘
Use AI as a Thinking Partner to challenge your thinking until you discover something uniquely yours.
đ Use AI to Discover What Others Never See
The first principle of The BE DiFFERENT Code⢠is:
Discover what others never see.
Thatâs where the business-growth opportunity lies.
Ask AI to challenge assumptions, expose sameness, connect ideas and pressure-test your strategy.
Donât just ask AI for answers.
Ask it to help you discover.
đŻ Use AI to Discover Your ONLY
Most businesses are using AI to become more efficient.
Go further.
Ask:
âHow can AI help us discover what makes us uniquely valuable?â
What can we do that others canât?
What Customer Cravings⢠can we satisfy uniquely?
What can we create rather than copy?
Use those discoveries to create The ONLY Statement⢠and become The ONLY Oneâ˘.
đĽ Donât Let AI Make You More Ordinary
Everyone has access to AI.
So AI itself isnât a competitive advantage.
What you discover with it might be.
Donât use AI to become faster at doing what everyone else does.
Use it to discover what makes you impossible to copy.
đ Whatâs Your Next Audacious Moveâ˘?
Stop treating AI like an Answer Machine.
Give it your experience, instincts, assumptions, strategy and ideas.
Then collide.
Challenge. Reject. Refine. Discover.
Because the highest-value use of AI may not be getting an answer faster.
It may be discovering the idea that makes you The ONLY Oneâ˘.

The Lowest Price Wins? Thatâs Business Suicide!

BE DiFFERENT Unfilteredâ˘
The Sacred Cow Burialâ˘
Business is full of accepted beliefs.
Some deserve to be buried.
This is one of them.
đ This Weekâs Sacred Cow
đŻ âThe Lowest Price Wins.â
Itâs taught in business schools.
Itâs celebrated in boardrooms.
Itâs the first move organizations make when sales soften.
Run another promotion.
Offer another discount.
Steal customers.
Grow sales.
Win.
Thatâs business suicide.
đŤ The Evidence
The moment you compete on price, youâve entered a race you can never win.
A competitor lowers their price.
You respond.
Another competitor responds.
You respond again.
Welcome to the race to the bottom.
And remember this:
The race to the bottom always ends at the bottom.
Margins disappear.
Profits evaporate.
Investment dries up.
Innovation slows.
Customer experiences deteriorate.
Your ability to grow weakens.
EventuallyâŚ
You lose. You die đ.
Price is the easiest thing to copy.
Anyone can be cheaper.
Someone always will be.
Which means price isnât a competitive advantage at all.
Itâs a temporary promotion.
Low prices donât build loyal customers.
They attract bargain hunters.
Bargain hunters arenât loyal.
Theyâre renters.
The moment someone else is cheaperâŚ
Theyâre gone.
Thatâs not loyalty.
Thatâs a transaction.
The real tragedy is what discounting steals from your future.
Every dollar you give away is one less dollar to invest in innovation.
One less dollar to hire exceptional peopleâHuman Being Lovers.
One less dollar to create dazzling customer experiences.
One less dollar to strengthen your brand.
Discounting isnât strategy.
Itâs what organizations do when they run out of ideas.
Creating uniqueâONLY ONEâvalue takes imagination.
Cutting prices takes a calculator.
âď¸ Sacred Cow Verdict
Guilty.
𪌠Sacred Cow Sentence
Bury It.
đ Sacred Cow Replacement
Deliver Value that ONLY you can. Charge Premium Prices.
Stop asking:
âHow can we lower our prices?â
Start asking:
âHow can we become impossible to compare?â
Create value your competitors canât copy.
Solve problems differently.
Design experiences customers remember.
Deliver outcomes customers crave.
Because price should always be a direct function of value.
The greater the valueâŚ
The greater the price customers are willing to pay.
Thatâs how extraordinary businesses grow.
Not by being the cheapest.
By being the most valuable.
When customers canât compare youâŚ
They stop comparing your prices.
Thatâs the power of differentiation.
Deliver Unique Value. Charge Premium Prices.
Compete on value.
Not price.
Not discounts.
Compete to become The ONLY One.
â°ď¸ Another Sacred Cow Buried.
Ordinary businesses ask:
âHow can we lower our prices?â
Extraordinary businesses ask:
âHow can we create more value?â
Anyone can cut prices.
Very few can create value.
Build value that is relevant.
Build value that is unique.
Become The ONLY One.
Then charge what that value is worth.
BecauseâŚ
The race to the bottom always ends at the bottom.
Choose a different race.
𪌠Ready for the Next Sacred Cow Burial?

Donât Get Sucked into the Tactics Trap: Strategy Must Come First

đ Audacious Move⢠of the Week
Donât Get Sucked Into the Tactics Trap: Strategy Must Come First
Bold Decisions Create Extraordinary Businesses.
I hope it helps you create yours.
Businesses are being seduced by tactics.
AI. Social media. Automation. Content platforms. The latest âgee whizâ technology promising instant growth.
And businesses stampede toward them.
Because theyâre new. Because competitors are doing it. Because they look âYUMMYâ.
Hereâs the brutal truth:
Tactics without strategy are just random acts of business.
They consume money, people and time without necessarily moving the business anywhere.
đ¨ Beware the Tactics Trap
Tactics are seductive because they feel like action.
Launch an AI project. Start another social media campaign. Install new technology. Automate something.
Everyone gets busy.
But busy isnât strategic.
Before pursuing any tactic, ask:
âWhat part of our strategy will this help us execute?â
If there isnât a compelling answer, donât do it.
Period.
đ§ Strategy Must Come First
Strategy defines the game you intend to play.
My Strategic Game Plan⢠forces you to answer four questions:
HOW BIG do you want to be?
WHO do you intend to SERVE?
WHAT do they CRAVE?
HOW will you COMPETE and WIN?
Only after making these choices should tactics enter the conversation.
The order matters:
Strategy â Tactics â Execution â Results.
Reverse it and youâre collecting tools without knowing what youâre trying to build.
đ¤ AI Is the Perfect Example
The AI Goldrush is creating one of the biggest Tactics Traps Iâve seen.
Businesses everywhere are asking:
âHow can we use AI?â
Wrong question.
Ask:
âWhere can AI help us execute our strategy?â
One starts with technology.
The other starts with the business.
Maybe AI improves customer responsiveness. Maybe it removes friction. Maybe it eliminates CRAP⢠that consumes resources without contributing to the strategy.
Great. Use it.
But donât use AI simply because everyone else is.
AI optimizes the common. Strategy creates the uncommon.
đŻ Make Every Tactic Earn Its Place
Every tactic should have to pass a strategic test.
Does it help serve the customers youâve chosen?
Does it address what they CRAVE?
Does it strengthen your ONLY Statement
Does it improve execution of a strategic priority?
If not, dump it.
Strategy isnât only about deciding what to do.
Strategy gives you permission to say NO.
NO to shiny objects.
NO to competitor imitation.
NO to technology looking for a purpose.
NO to anything that distracts you from executing your game plan.
đĽ Strategy First. Tactics Second. Always.
Stop asking:
âShould we use this?â
Start asking:
âHow will this help us execute our strategy?â
Donât chase AI.
Donât chase technology.
Donât chase whatever the business herd decides is YUMMY next.
Build the strategy first.
Then choose the tactics that bring it to life.
The tool should never determine the strategy. The strategy should determine the tool.
đ Whatâs Your Next Audacious Moveâ˘?
Pick one tactic consuming resources in your organization right now.
Ask:
âExactly what part of our Strategic Game Plan⢠does this help us execute?â
Canât answer it?
Stop doing it.
Put those resources behind something that actually moves your strategy forward.
Strategy first. Tactics second. Always.

From Goosebumps to Customer Bliss: Hire People Who Create Magic

đ Audacious Move⢠of the Week
The BE DiFFERENT Codeâ˘: Five Disciplines for Extraordinary Business Growth
Bold Decisions Create Extraordinary Businesses.
I hope it helps you create yours.
đ Goosebumps Create Magic
Most organizations hire to fill vacancies.
The best organizations hire to create unforgettable customer experiences.
Thereâs a huge difference.
Your people are your brand. Every interaction either strengthens your reputation or chips away at it.
If your goal is to build a business customers rave about, stop hiring for resumes.
Start hiring for goosebumps.
đŻ Goosebumps Arenât Accidents
A goosebumps moment is when a customer experiences something so unexpected, thoughtful, or caring that they remember it long after the transaction is over.
Those moments donât happen because someone followed a policy.
They happen because someone cared enough to do something extraordinary.
Thatâs why your hiring strategy is really your customer experience strategy.
If you want customers to feel bliss, hire people who genuinely love serving other human beings.
Technical skills can be taught.
Empathy canât.
â¤ď¸ Emotional Connections
Most interview processes are built around experience, credentials, and technical competence.
Thatâs table stakes.
The real question is different.
âWill this person create customers who never want to leave?â
Hire people who naturally create emotional connections.
People who solve problems without being asked.
People who say âYesâ before they say âPolicy.â
People who get goosebumps from making someone elseâs day.
Those are the people who build extraordinary brands.
đĄ Five Ways to Hire DiFFERENT
â Define Your ONLY Employee
Know exactly who belongs in your culture.
Donât create a job description.
Create a human description.
What attitudes, behaviours, and instincts are essential if someone is going to deliver your ONLY Brand?
â Hire Human Being Lovers
One question reveals almost everything:
Watch their face.
Listen to the energy in their answer.
People who genuinely enjoy helping others rarely fake it.
â Ask for Stories, Not Resumes
Forget titles.
Forget responsibilities.
Ask:
âTell me about a time you made someoneâs day.â
Past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour.
â Let the Team Decide
Culture isnât built by HR.
Itâs built by the people who work together every day.
Include your team in the interview process.
Theyâll often spot things a hiring manager misses.
â Onboard for Goosebumps
Donât spend the first week explaining policies.
Spend it explaining your purpose.
Teach new employees that their job isnât simply to complete tasks.
Their job is to create customers who tell stories.
đ Customer Bliss Starts Before Day One
Competitive advantage isnât created in the marketing department.
It begins the moment you decide who deserves to wear your logo.
Every hire either strengthens your brandâŚ
âŚor weakens it.
If you want customers who stay longerâŚ
Buy moreâŚ
And enthusiastically recommend you to othersâŚ
Hire people whose instinct is to create goosebumps.
Everything else becomes easier.
đ đĽ The Audacious Moveâ˘
Donât hire to fill a position.
Hire to create unforgettable customer experiences.
Thatâs how organizations become the ONLY Ones (LINK) their customers remember.
Now thatâs an Audacious Moveâ˘.
đ Whatâs Your Next Audacious Moveâ˘?
Reading ideas is easy.
Acting on them, however, is what creates extraordinary businesses.
BE DiFFERENT or be dead⢠is more than a philosophyâitâs about making the bold decisions others wonât.
